Malachite in the Matrix!
Description
A core sample is a piece of rock that is brought up by miners to see what minerals or precious metals are present under the ground. They drill down with a hollow pipe, the rock fills the pipe and the sample is brought up and cut in half to see what it contains. This sample comes from an abandoned copper/silver mine in Nevada that Jake likes to visit. This piece was shaped into a teardrop shape by Jake and has a large section of dark green malachite set off by the grey, tans and browns of the rest of the stone. The setting is sterling silver with a solid silver back with a scalloped sterling bezel surrounded by s twisted square copper wire accent.
