Fire Opal Pendant 15
$50.00
A Chunck of Idaho Opal!
Description
Jake dug up the rock that held this piece of fire opal while visiting the Spencer Opal Mine in Idaho. The Spencer mine allows the public to dig in the mine tailings for a fee, and you can find some great fire opals there. Its one of the few places left there the public can dig for a precious gemstone. As you can see from the photos, it was impossible for Jake to capture the colors in this stone with a photograph. When the stone turns in the light you can see shimmering colors of red, yellow and green. The stone is set using square sterling silver wire to frame the back with prongs to hold the stone in place and a half round sterling ring as a bail.
