Fire Opal Pendant 19

A Vein Of Fire!
Description
This is a very cool piece of fire opal that Jake dug up while at the Spencer Opal Mine in Idaho. The mine owners allow the public to dig through the mine tailings for a fee, and it’s one of the few places where the public can dig for precious fire opal. Jake makes a point to stop here every year, and you can see from the other jewelry on this site that he does find a lot of nice stones there. This particular stone is different in that there is a vein of the fire opal running through the white common opal, and you can see the flashes of green and red fire all the way through the vein. The setting is sterling silver with a full silver back, a fine silver scalloped bezel surrounded by a twisted square copper wire accent and topped with a sterling bail.
