Fire Opal Ring 1

Description

This is a great piece of fire opal from the Spencer, Idaho opal mine, one of Jake’s favorite spots to visit.  There aren’t a lot of places the public can go to dig for fire opal and you can find some beautiful stones there.  It takes a lot of work to bring out the fire in the stone, a little too much grinding and the fire is gone.  This stone has a lot of fire, with red, blue and green and is cut in a piece of the matrix rock to set it off.  The stone is set in sterling silver with a scalloped sterling wire bezel surrounded by a square copper wire accent, and half round wire ring shank with triangle ends.  The ring size is 7 and a half.
