Malachite Pendant 11

Description

This stone came from an abandoned mine in Nevada, one of Jake’s regular stops when he travels out west to go rockhounding.  There is a lot of malachite and azurite there, along with other minerals, but it can be tough to find a rock with enough solid gem material in it to be able to use it.  This piece of malachite was thick enough to get a nice solid piece of pretty green gem mixed with a little black for a great looking stone.  The setting is patinated copper with a wide flat back to set off the stone.
