Turquoise Earrings 3

Description

The turquoise in these earrings comes from the Royston Turquoise mine in Nevada.  Jake was fortunate enough to be able to visit this mine twice while it was still open to the public.  The mine still produces turquoise but the owners no longer allow the public to dig in the tailings.  Royston Turquoise is famous for the high quality of the turquoise and the colors which range from near white to blue to dark green.  These two pieces are a bright blue mixed in with a bit of the brown matrix rock for a great contrast.  They are set in sterling silver, pendant style, with a fine silver scalloped bezel and sterling  round wire hoops that have an attractive flattened section.
