Woodchip Turquoise Pendant 3

Description

This is a beautiful piece of bright blue turquoise from the Royston Turquoise mine in Nevada.  The stone comes from a raw rock that Jake dug from the mine tailings when he visited the mine a few years ago, but unfortunately the mine no longer allows the public to dig there.  Jake decided to use this piece in a wood chip setting for something different.  He takes the chip of wood, sands it and stains it, then carves a depression to fit the stone.  He coats the finished wood with a clear varnish.  This piece also has some crushed turquoise as an accent and is finished with a copper bail.
